KOTA KINABALU – The popular Tanjung Aru beach has been invaded with various jellyfish attacks – and we think this could be one of the worst experiences you can have that will ruin your beach escape.
Just recently an attack was reported – a 12-year old girl got stung while swimming at this beach. The reports said the girl just suddenly felt a sharp pain on her hand and her family along with the beach attendants rushed to her aid after hearing her scream.
This is the third reported case of jellyfish sting only for the first month of this year, and authorities even believe that the number is actually higher than reported – totaling to about 25 cases for January, reported and unreported cases alike.
Though there are no fatalities accounted, the authorities are still thinking to go all out to raise public awareness for jellyfish protection due to this non-declining number of cases.
At the Tanjung Aru Beach, a red flag was even raised by the attendants to warn beach goers of the danger of jellyfish stings. It serves as a positive warning for some, but for many it may sound like a negative caution – forgetting their desire to enjoy the beach because of this fear.
Well, the jellyfish protection awareness is an idea that we should always welcome.
But despite this caution, we thought it is sad to not gratify our desire of having a weekend escape to the beach just because of the fear of jellyfish stings. Because why so? We got Safe Sea anyway.
Hearing all these bad news, here comes some good.
1. You can now forget about the myths – trash the idea of dosing your body with urine, vinegar, and even fresh water in case of jellyfish sting. Safe Sea can prevent and deactivate the stinging mechanism. So no worries, it’s a high chance you won’t be the next victim.
2. You can still wear your favorite bikinis! We love rashguards and wetsuits too, but we think you can be better with less cover. With Safe Sea, you can enjoy the sun and strut your stuff, those jellyfish won’t harm!
3. With SPF95 and ‘Very Water Resistant’ grade, what is it that you should doubt? I guess there shouldn’t be any.
The report of jellyfish invasion in Tanjung Aru beach warns us of a possible worst experience that can definitely ruin our beach vacay.
You can either invest in Safe Sea right now or suffer from jellyfish sting later. Which one will you choose?
